Doreen Mastandrea
Born in Sleepy Hollow, New York, I have been living in and around Massachusetts for the past 20 years. I received my MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art and my BFA from the University of Colorado in Boulder. I have been a resident at Moravian Tileworks, Banff Center for the Arts in Canada, and Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts. Currently, I live in Marblehead, MA and teach at Salem State College and Babson College. I also co–own North Shore Clay Studio with Kirsten Bassion, a fellow potter, where I do my work as well as teach classes.
I have exhibited across the US and in Canada. My career has led me to various places outside the world of ceramics including working as a mosaic muralist. I have done both private and public installations in the US and Bermuda. I have also published a book on mosaic making and been included in several publications.
